09The 9th Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting for Nuclear-Physics Experiments at RI Beam Factory

Dear RIBF users,

As stated by Directors En’yo and Otsuka, we are currently concentrating our efforts on examining the damages of the whole accelerator system and all equipment by the earthquakes. We hope to complete this by July, although, it will largely depend on the available electric powers. Tentatively all RIBF beam times scheduled for the spring 2011 period have been canceled. Hoping to start normal operation of RIBF in this fall, we decided to hold the 9th PAC meeting as originally scheduled on 24-25 June, 2011 to keep up research activities. The Call-for-Proposals is attached. Major changes since the last Call-for-Proposals are:
- two-year plan of primary beams for BigRIPS-based experiments is adjusted
- open to accept proposals for experiments at the SAMURAI spectrometer
- no proposals can be accepted for CRIB experiments
Information on the beam time schedule as well as on related subjects can be obtained from the minutes of the Machine-Time Committee Meeting. Please visit:
