Research Areas
This team is in charge of development and management of the common computer environment, Internet service, data acquisition system for experiments, and network environment at Nishina Center for Accelerator-based Science. In addition, we work for information security measures. We manage LINUX/UNIX NIS/NFS Cluster computer that can be used for calculations, data analysis of experimental data, web-page publication and e-mail service. For experiments at RIBF, we develop and operate a network distributed-type data acquisition (DAQ) system. To speed up DAQ performance, developments of parallel readout system and loss-less detector front-end system are in progress. Furthermore, an advanced DAQ scheme has been introduced using the time-stamping system and intelligent trigger system implemented with reconfigurable logic circuits. We are also working on international DAQ developments in collaboration with domestic and foreign researchers.
